sen no bi

Alongside my interest of Arts and Crafts and the ornate Baroque movement, I also enjoy arts with sharper and cleaner structures to them. Early 20th century minimalist architecture and Japanese woodblock prints had a massive influence in this designs style, their appearance was often deceivingly simple however each element is therefore incredibly important, whilst drawing my design I spent a lot of time considering how to simplify whilst retaining detail. The Sen No Bi print captures the traditional streets and structures in japan whilst portraying them in a fun abstract manor.
